Customer insights: Pro tips for maximizing product potential
In any organization, customers are the backbone of business and act as narrators of the company’s story. They’re the ones who gain firsthand experience with the products and through interactions with the sales and support teams, allowing them to understand what an organization truly represents.
In this blog, we explore feedback, testimonials, and advice provided by Barracuda customers, as well as some descriptive terms they believe suit our company. The information was gathered by Barracuda’s customer advocacy team through a challenge conducted in the Barracuda Insiders program, for a community where customers can access different resources such as product training, networking opportunities, chances to contribute to news articles, and more.
The challenge asked customers to share any product tips they may have, and the overall goal of this project was to gain a better understanding of the experiences that longtime customers of Barracuda have had with our company so that their insights can help us better support the needs of all customers.
Product tips from Barracuda customers
Kim D., Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist at Flint Group: Back up your configs before making major changes. Have someone available onsite when doing a big firmware update in case you need to rebuild. Have a plan ready. There’s nothing worse than trying to scramble to get help at a site when you have a down firewall on the other side of the world.
Ignace Q., ICT Manager at BRAEM: If you combine the Message Archiver with a retention period in Office 365, you end up with smaller, manageable mailboxes without losing any mail.
Mark Newman, IT Manager at Eversfield Preparatory School Trust Limited: Always check the help pages before making any changes as there is usually a quick, easy way of doing what you need to do.
Jon Le Roi, Director of IT at Mendocino Forest Products: Check out Barracuda Campus. There are a lot of quality courses available to customers.
Barracuda in one word
In addition to the previous survey, our customers in the Barracuda Insiders program were asked to describe Barracuda in one word in a recent challenge. Some of the most common terms the Insiders used include “indispensable,” “innovative,” “progressive,” “vigilant,” “reliable,” and “reassuring.”
It’s important to showcase the power of customers’ voices, and it’s equally as critical to listen and learn from their stories in order to build robust, lifelong relationships with them.
